December is the festive month. We visit each other, make fun and give each other a little more attention. The place where all this comes together is at home. To create the ultimate Christmas and home feeling, we launched The bol.com Christmas House ; a content platform that is entirely devoted to the Christmas holidays. We came up with the idea to built a life-size house, decorated with many different items from the bol.com store. From the reindeer in the garden to an attractively lit Christmas village in front of the fireplace. The house was a fully working, including working toilets and bathroom, a kitchen, sleeping rooms, lights, fire place etc.

At kersthuis.bol.com you were  welcomed by the Dutch-Belgian guest duo Grietje & Dempsey. They showed the latest trends to prepare your house and yourself for Christmas. Not only by giving a peek into the Christmas  assortment of bol.com, but also many eye-catching guests came to visit. Such as stylists Emilie & Sabine van Huizenjacht, foodies Vivan Reijs and Veronique Leysen, vloggers the Blond Tigers Elise & Vita and FIFA champion Koen Weijland. Together with these guests, bol.com offert special content and innovative tips to make the most beautiful Christmas ever.

The Christmas house was used as a backdrop for all productions. All materials being used were produced in and around the Christmas house: website photography, content and advertising materials. The TV commercial, where Santa Claus pays a visit to the remarkable house, was also shot there.

Watching the house being build was impressive and at the end we were very happy that were rewarded with a ’Spin-award’ and The Grand Prix Content Marketing for this case.
